Youth Duck Hunt

February 6th and 7th were youth only waterfowling days and heard several reports of fathers and sons heading into duck blinds for one last shot at killing a duck. Typical for youth hunters, plenty of shots were fired and while some connected with their target, most of the shooting was an excercise in wingshooting. Youths must learn how to shoulder the gun, swing the gun, and keep their head down on the stock of the shotgun during firing before they can expect to take their daily legal limit. The purpose of the hunt is to get the youths out of doors to experience the sunrise and the fellowship that only that setting can supply.
